Now that I'm starting to count votes after E3, here are the Top Ten skus as of the moment, in no particular order:

  • Super Smash Bros for Wii U (Wii U)
  • Metal Gear Solid 5 (PS4)
  • Splatoon (Wii U)
  • Pokemon AlphaSapphire/OmegaRuby (3DS)
  • Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4)
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)
  • Uncharted 4 (PS4)
  • Super Smash Bros for 3DS (3DS)
  • The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
  • Bloodborne (PS4)

It's great to see two entirely newly announced series up there! Alas, off the top of my head, I know at least half of the Top 10 won't be coming out this year.

The winner of E3 seems to have been Nintendo, both as a publisher and a hardware maker. Smash Bros and X (now Xenoblade Chronicles X) were already big, and now Splatoon has appeared and Zelda got an actual bit of footage. Plus, you have "lesser" games like Kirby, Yoshi, and Captain Toad adding up to the lineup. Nearly half of all points out of the first 28 ballots' worth are for Wii U and 3DS games, mostly from Nintendo, and the Wii U alone is currently ahead of all three noted PlayStation platforms combined.

This year's loser(s) seems to be the Xbone and/or the VIta. The One has some shooters so far, but its new announcements and trailers have garnered little attention as of yet. The Vita, meanwhile, is doing terribly, with virtually nothing coming from E3 for it. Even the 3DS got new trailers for Pokemon and Smash along with the Project S.T.E.A.M. announcement.

Love and tolerate.
