| HappySqurriel said: From Wikipedia: Fitna is a film by Dutch politician Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV) in the Dutch parliament. The movie offers his view on Islam and the Qur'an. The film's title comes from the Arabic word Fitna which is used to describe "disagreement and division among people", or a "test of faith in times of trial" I don't think you need to see this movie because of anything it says, only because you must see it because there are many people who don't want you to watch it ... |
I cut out after a minute. There really isn't much of a reason to watch it. The prevalence of violence and terrorism in the middle east and the justification it receives through religion is a very complex subject that desperately needs debate and reflection by the muslim community.
This video doesn't deal with that subject or foster such a discussion. It's just a shallow inflamatory middle finger to an entire religious group based on one mans prejudices.
I don't really see the need to help him hold up that finger.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
