back on topic:  I just watched half of the video ... and that's just sick ... Religious terrorism is the worst kind ... i mean i literally got sick of watching that ...

now i'm not gonna defend terrorists ... but that movie was only created to create more hate, why don't they make

movies about the killings on the crusades, or the witch hunts, or the crimes and killings Israel comitts on the gaza frontier, even the ku klux klan said they were making God's will, I'm a Christian and i think this movie was just made to support the hate for

You were supposed to watch it because people who have never seen it wanted you not to watch it because they were afraid of reactions similar to the mohammad comics of a couple years ago. From what I saw in this video, it is no more critical of Islam than other videos that we tolerate about Christianity, Judaism, and Scientology. This video has already been somewhat of a news sotry, and may become a much larger news story, and it is important for you to see it to formulate an opinion of your own.

HappySqurriel - I admire the reason you posted the link to this video. Concern about people having an informed opinion is one of the things at the top of my list. Unfortunately I stopped watching about 1/5 of the way in, just had to turn it off. So...

Could you give me a summary of what the video is about? I've read enough of your posts in the last year to know that your opinion is unfailingly informed.

This video does nothing but create the same falsehoods and idiocy that the terrorist promote themselves. All of the passages are taken way out of context and only some one of very little intelligence or someone who has never actually read the Qur'an would follow that line of logic.

For that reason alone, I am surprised HappySqurriel posted it here.

 I cut out after a minute. There really isn't much of a reason to watch it. The prevalence of violence and terrorism in the middle east and the justification it receives through religion is a very complex subject that desperately needs debate and reflection by the muslim community.

This video doesn't deal with that subject or foster such a discussion. It's just a shallow inflamatory middle finger to an entire religious group based on one mans prejudices. 

I don't really see the need to help him hold up that finger. 

Ok I get your point and I did watch the hole thing BUT as a history student I have seen and read endless propaganda over the years and this isn´t any better than anti christian or anti semite propaganda... sure its not ok for some extremist muslims to poison the minds of the confused with their terrible propaganda but this is just as bad.
