When do they nickle & dime people? They're the kings of it as you say so provide multiple examples.

Also the online portion of this and every other Wii & DS game was hosted by GameSpy servers, which were bought and shut down by the company that purchased GameSpy, this wasn't necessarily a Nintendo decision.

The only thing I can think of is their excessive controller options (mainly with the Wii when you had the Wiimote, nunchuck and then they came out with the Motion+ add on (which they eventually put inside the controller)).  Most games didn't require motion+ so it wasn't 100% necessary. 

As for nickle and diming online...  The other two companies do that.

Controllers I can understand. I haven't felt that way towards their DLC packs yet though or other online-related stuff yet, EA is probably one of the worst offenders in that regard.
