It doesn't jump into the game like Link to the Past does. Right from the get-go on Link to the Past, you basically have everything you need to kill everything, and go everywhere.

Are you sure you played A Link Between Worlds? You are at the first dungeon in 5 minutes and you can rent all of the items to use in any dungeon at any order for most of the game. It is by far the least linear and more compact of the two games.

Same with Link to the Past, minus the renting part. The point I'm framing is that you said it was better, when I feel they are the same.

It's better because it's even more streamlined than Alttp was, and it is updated to modern standards (touch-screen inventory, better quality graphics, better quality music, etc.) For a new player it is better because it is more accessible. If you don't know how something works you can take advantage of the hint glasses, for example. Other than that, they are very similar games that approach the same world. The dungeons and side-quests are different, and that is more of a personal preference type of thing.
