Not having read the other posts in this topic yet. I'd just like to point out that hardcore is a word applied by preteen boys to make themselves feel cooler about the fact that they play videogames all the time. The best indicator of whether or not a game is hardcore is by what percentage of the games demographic fit into the preteen boy age range.
