It'd be pure logic to continue with another top-down Zelda game, but it does seem like people try to recommend Wind Waker more. If Skyward Sword doesn't really feel very OOT-ish there's no reason for me not to try it some day as well. I've come far enough to at least definitely scrap TP off the list I guess. |
All right then, in that case, you'll probably like the original LOZ, A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds, Minish Cap, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Link's Awakening, and Phantom Hourglass. There's also Four Swords (anniversary edition occassionally available for free on 3DS eShop) and Four Swords Adventures (GC) which are also top down, but the gameplay is stripped to its very absolute basics and made into a 4 player co-op game with competitive elements. If you're just interested purely in dungeon design and want to try something 3D, Skyward Sword has the best 3D dungeons in the series, in my opinion. Minish Cap has the best top down dungeons, also my opinion, followed by A Link Between Worlds. A Link to the Past just has the best overall top down gameplay, though ALBW might top it.
