3rd party publishers have always dominated PlayStation software sales, outside of the Gran Turismo games.
Gen 7 and PS3 was just different to PS2/PS for Sony, because for the first time they needed significant output from the 1st party thanks to Microsoft buying everything up for the 360 and making it a software powerhouse.
With Gen 8 you can probably just expect more of the same as what we got from PS3 post Slim/Cut, where they finally flexed some muscle. A great 1st party with the best 3rd party software available. Nothing to worry about, nothing to get excited about.
