I'm one of those who is not really big fan of OoT, so I know where you're coming from, but I liked TWP quite a bit - despite it being Aonuma Zelda, and more or less continuation of OoT design philosophy. Wind Waker is also good choice, some around here would argue that it is the best choice. ;) |
I played every 3D Zelda game and I hated Twilight Princess the most.
Its by far the most soul-less Zelda and needs fan service to survive (Epona which is semi useless and the one place inside the forest wont say more because of spoiler) Wasted the chance to introduce the coolest Zelda race every by introducing skinhead chickens with boobs instead. (talk about mystical ancient tribe blah blah etc and then this....)
Not much to explore in Hyrule does the rest. Where are my "ground holes" at?
Some versions of the game have FAIL translation mistakes (which are simply not allowed to exist in a Zelda game! How can you forget to change the Gamecube translation of Hyrule WEST to Hyrule EAST for the Wii? Since when is WEST on the right side of the map rofl!!!) and everytime you find a stupid rupee after you turned off the console the game explains to you what a stupid rupee is....
Also not a gameplay thing but the game looked dated when it came out and still looks worse than GC WInd Waker. Wind Waker had the ocean alot of people thought that was completely boring but for me it was part of the "I have to explore the world by ship because thats what people in this world do." aspect and I loved the game.
And the only bad thing about Skyward Sword is the streamlined design. Choose 3 levels instead of a connected world (very dumb decision) which made skyloft just a "lobby" to enter the other 3 "rooms" and so skyloft is empty too....
