Would Respawn had the money and infrastructure to match how much Ubisoft spent on marketing Watchdogs?

Ah, would Respawn had the man power to build 6 different platforms? We saw they barely managed two and outsourced the 360 version.

PS: Following this thread logic one might assume that Sony´s effort with Infamous SS was pointless as (if VGChartz is correct) Watch Dogs made for the PS4 more than Infamous SS.

Respawn, the developer, would not be marketing the game.  That is up to the publisher (EA).

The porting of the game could have been outsourced, just like the 360 version was.  This would have cost the publisher $1 million, give or take a bit.

Infamous SS has sold about 1.3 million copies.  Sony, as the publisher and platform owner, would have made about $34 per copy, or about $44.2 million.

Watch_Dogs would make Sony about $7 in royalties per copy.  So if all 4 million copies were sold on PS4 (which they weren't), it would have made $28 million for Sony.  Realistically, the number is probably closer to 2.5 million on Sony platforms, or about $17.5 million.  Based on this estimate, Watch_Dogs would have to sell another 3.8 million copies on Sony platforms (PS3 and PS4) to match what Infamous has earned.
