The lack of 3rd party support really does hurt Nintendo though. They can do really well by themselves but they could do so much better if they had more 3rd parties on board.

Almost half the games on Nintendo consoles are Nintendo games. For almost every game bought, nearly one in two is a Nintendo game. For the U, Nintendo's publisher ratio is at 70% (over 23m units sold).

If there is less 3rd party support, the tie ratio may reduce, but in general it is not very likely to affect the overall HW sales total.


Are you actually claiming that 3rd party support won't matter on Nintendo consoles?
