Candy Crush is a game. Nintendo makes games. I see nothing wrong with the comparison.
Yes, it is not a straight apples to apples comparison but out of the three console makers it is the best you can get.
If Candy Crush made TVs and wrote Operating Systems then I would say it is fair to bring MS and Sony into the equation. No one outside of MS knows what Xbox makes or loses so you can't have a comparison there.
This just put more emphasis on much money can be made on casual mobile gaming on the android and iOS platforms.
I am sure many devs and maybe even Nintendo themselves are paying close attention to this report. It's all about the money.
Personally I am disappointed as I hate these kind of "games". Not saying if I dreamt up the game I would be dissappointed though.
Just shows what handhelds are up against these days. Before the iPhone and iPad Nintendo pretty much had all that market to themselves.
