I agree with the Article, but disagree with the title I'm so conflicted.
MS does not have to worry about the XB1 becoming the next Wii U by virtue of actually having a US presence and 3rd party support.
That being said, I believe both MK8/Smash and Kinectless Price Cut are both temporary solutions, neither of which will be long enough, quick enough, or effective enough to significantly change territories much less the world.
