Personally, I don't think the changes would have been major without Infamous, perhaps not even noticed, the two first ones sold 120 and 80k in Japan lifetime, a mere 4.5% (roughly) of the global sales in the third largest market, this is hardly a series to cause ripples at all in Japan.
