Did anyone predict Wii U to do this bad? If so, why?

OT: I definitely didn't predict such absolutely terrible sales, but I knew for a fact that it wouldn't sell anywhere near like the Wii. I was, I think, expecting somewhere below 50 Million a few weeks after launch. That's far off now.
