To compare it to other Wii games in Europe's first week impact:

Week before Mario Kart Wii: 111,227

Mario Kart Wii FW: 124,183 (+12,956)

 

Week before SSBB: 109,673

SSBB FW: 148,803 (+39,130)

 

Week before Mario Galaxy 2: 70,523

FW: 65,841 (-4,682)
