You have to pay attention.  Click the link and read the article (you didn't do that did you).  Sony wants to sell 10 million PS4 consoles by April 2015.  You can guess the other 7 million consoles buy 2016.  It says 17 million in 2015, not by 2015.

So you believe they will only sell 2.3 million more PS4's by April 2015?

Yes, because Sony overhyped the bad GDDR5 hardware and Wii U will destroy it with it's superior eSRAM, and people will soon know which console is the bestest, which is Wii U of course. That's what I believe at least, but it seems reasonable.
