I mean they're Digital Foundry. Analyzing the specs is all they do. I would consider it a waste if they didn't mention the 59fps thing. You read DF to find out about technical things you can't otherwise accurately measure, and to analyze exactly what efforts went into making the game look and perform well. The "otherwise faultless presentation" comment says it all. They think this is a gorgeous game, but the developers took some shortcuts (I guess to avoid delays?) that, as a technical analysis, it would be stupid not to point out. |
This is the most sensible and objective reaction to the DF analysis I've seen to date. I am humbled.
