Will get it when it goes on sale ;)

how would it ever go on sale? you know how stubborn nintendo is with the prices of their games. i usually buy nintendo games the week they release and i have never seen a sale on them before. is a sale for yoshis new island feasible at all?

Yes, exactly. So if I want it when it goes on sale I'll never have to buy it. This game looks too dissapointing to me to even try.

i am a die hard yoshi's island fan, and have been since it released (i was six years old). its been one of my favorite games of all time since. when yoshi's story for 64 came out, i made my mom go out and buy that shit immediately, and THAT game disappointed me. I was also in disbelief that nintendo made a game, with yoshi no less, that sucked as much as it did. it was actually then when i realized that nintendo is fallible and was actually able to make mistakes.

and even with all of that, i played this game expecting a very 'meh' experience, and ended up finding so much more than that. so if you had a similar experience like i had with yoshi's story and thats why you feel like its too disappointing to even try and you want to save yourself from something like that ever happening again, im telling you that its ok and youre not going to have to endure that same pain again. this game certainly is not disappointing and redeems the series in my eyes.

That's not the problem for me. I've played the old Yoshi's Island but it really didn't feel so good to me. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad game, it just doesn't suit me. I really dislike the music from Yoshi's New Island as well as the art style. It's just personal preference though, I guess. Also, I keep spelling disappointing wrong. Urgh -.-

ok so we come from different backgrounds with yoshis island. but yeah, if you didnt particularly like the first one, then there really isnt much hope of liking this one either. theyre very much the same thing. i do think, however, if you play all the way through world six, you might find yourself really enjoying the game though. i had the same feeling about the music and art style too, and all of that pretty much vanished for me and i grew to like it.
