Just wanna pop in to say that it's still #1 on Amazon under "video games" in Japan.

Won't be surprised if it falls below MK8 again soon, but considering this, I definitely see this game outselling Skyward Sword in Japan already. Maybe 500k or so. Keeping expectations low, but for a Zelda spin-off this would be good.

If Japan can at least sell it decently, then I definitely forsee them hitting their 1 million worldwide goal. Wind Waker HD barely hit 1 million itself, but Wind Waker HD's problem was Japan. It sold horrible there. That doesn't seem to be the case for this game so far.

Wind Waker should have decent legs across the WiiU's life. Not saying it will sell much more but still has a little bit left in it. In Japan though it is truely dead.

As for Hyrule Warriors I think they are banking on the west to buy it more than we ever have a Musou game. In Japan the Zelda paint job isnt going to help and being a Musou game on WiiU it could really struggle. The Musou crowd is mainly on PS consoles and something like this isnt going to push many to buy a WiiU. It will really rely on those few Musou and Zelda fans in Japan who already own a WiiU. Looking at PS3 numbers of the entire Musou series I would say 300k is a good number.

All I said is Japan made Wind Waker HD struggle to hit that mark longer than it had to. Hyrule Warriors is looking to sell a lot better than WW HD in Japan already based off it's hype, and the better it sells in Japan, the easier it is to hit the 1 million goal mark the developers desire for it. Of course they're betting on the west, that's obvious. What wasn't obvious was Hyrule Warriors being hyped in Japan.

Despite being on Wii U and despite being Zelda "in Japan", it's showing more hype than people expected over there so far. More hype than Skyward Sword. So I don't know what you're trying to prove? 300k vs 500k? Who knows, but it has the hype at the moment. We'll see how big it is there when we come to the months after it's launch. My main point, again, is just that this might actually be able to hit 1+ million worldwide, and will most certainly outsell WW HD and possibly even Skyward Sword in Japan. (sub 400k). If it keeps it up, anyway. Worldwide I expect WW HD to perform better.
