Because the Wii was lightning in a bottle, right product, right time, right everything. They've never had that before and won't again. The stars aligned for them. I don't even think it's possible to come up with a concept that others won't come up with.

And in terms of appealing to core/your average gamer, MS and Sony will always likely be five steps ahead. Nintendo would have to do many things they really wouldn't want to, to be on a level playing field.

Also, WiiU will not be second, not by a long shot.


Well, I don't think X1 will do wonders, but I'm sure it will be ahead of WiiU by a big margin.
