The thing is though, everyone has their own opinions on what's fine and what isn't. By stating WHY a thread is closed, it gives people that post in the thread, or read the thread some closure.
Mods don't need to apologize for closing a thread, I just feel it should just be common courtesy to at least state why it was closed. Kind've like ban reasons. Some people don't care, some people want to know why. *shrug*
