Dude, in Zelda II Link is several years older than the first game, and while ALTTP makes no direct reference to his age, he certainly doesn't appear any younger. Young Link is featured in half of TOOT and all of MM, though it's painfully obvious that older Link features much better gameplay, and he's sorely missed in MM.
And don't even get me started on that Powerpuff Girl reject known as "Toon Link."
