I feel that the slow but steady trickle of information, reveals, and options in Smash Bros U is...honestly one of the most effective marketing campaigns I've ever seen.

Despite Nintendo almost never advertising their shit, they seem to be masters at it. I haven't been this excited for a game release since...well, Smash bros Brawl! (and that game did NOT disappoint)

Yeah it's a form of marketing that I really like. It was awesome for Brawl and still is for this game. Even posts like today about minor changes are interesting to me.

That's exactly it.  This thing about your outline being the color of your team is...it's almost nothing.  It has very little effect on the game in the long run, but it was a glorious way to subtly improve upon what was one of the best games last generation.

at first I wasn't so convinced that Smash Bros U was going to be all that good, but it sounds like they really have refined it.

Still don't like the lack of a story mode.  Honestly, that was one of my favorite parts of Brawl.
