Are you seriously saying that Pokemon is worse now?
Red and Blue were OK games, made god-tier due to nostalgic gamers who never played past the second or third generation. EVERY SINGLE generation that came after has been steadily better, with 6th gen easily being the best the series has ever been.
Just because you are the 1% that could never get past the first gen dosen't mean that the other 99% of us should suffer.

Why? Do you have any clue how many Pokemon players there are in the world currently? My quote was a little hyperbolic, but the first-gen only gamers are a very small minority compared to the others that went beyond just first-gen.

I think a more accurate comparison would be with the Wii. The Wii sold a lot of consoles, but a lot of them weren't really Nintendo fans. This is like one of them saying that the Wii U is lame now because it's so different from the Wii and the Wii was their first console, but no, they really are real Nintendo fans.
