We only need 151 Pokémons.

why? why the originals? there are many pokemon from 152-721 that are better than the originals :-/

Some are fine but if it comes at the cost of having the ones that are attrocious than no thanks.

That's entirely subjective, and no real Pokemon fan think like that, and therefore wouldn't be the audience for this game anyway.

I can be a "real" Pokémon fan without having to swallow what the modern series has turned into.

It's like saying you need to love Star Wars I + II + III if you ever liked Star Wars IV + V + VI. The biggest Star Wars fans would probably have a lot to say on the recent trilogy and yet they are still real Star Wars fans.

...No. No you can't. Pokemon is the modern series. It's like saying you're a real Star Wars fan, but you only ever liked Episode IV. You're not a fan. You just liked one movie.

That's completely ludicrous.

I have thousands of examples of series/franchises that turned to crap. You can be a fan of what something used to be.

Otherwise you're just a blind fan and those are the most dangerous especially on forums. lol

Is that a joke? Pokemon is exponencially better in literally every way than it was in the first generation. Have you even played the modern games? It's battle system is more sophisticated, it's designs are more creative, and it has one of the deepest and most complex lore in gaming today thanks to it's near 20 years of world building. Pokemon is about evolution. Pokemon doesn't have the same luxury that Call of Duty has. It doesn't get to sell by staying the same. The reason why Pokemon is still the second largest video gaming franchise in the world, second to only Mario, is not only because it evolves so much with every major iteration, but because the 15+ million people who buy those games time and time again actually enjoy those evolutions.
