I just saw the movie yesterday and I have to say it is easily the best movie I've seen so far this year. SPOILDERS****

I actually had tears in my eyes during the movie because it was such an emotional experience. I was stunned by the fact that what appeared to be the main characters at the beginning were killed off/went insane (kind of). I loved the romantic part of the movie (the impact of the lost wife and the drama with the younger wife struggling to still help people and maintain a stable appearance for their son). Godzilla himself was amazing looking, I loved the fights, and I LOVED how they stayed true to the original Godzilla movies and the people realized that Godzilla wasn't the bad guy. Such a good movie and this makes the 1999 one look so ridiculously horrible it's insane.
