Price was never an issue. The PS3 sold over 9mil its first ear (more than the 360 its first year) with a cheaper competitor. I people really want an X1 they can afford it or just wait to buy it. The PS4 sales have nothing to do with people choosing it over the X1, but the fact that there is not that high of a demand for the X1 period. T
he Xbox brand was never as popular as seen with the PS3 surpassing the 360 and dominating them at the moment. Every new brand gets its chance to shine as Sega did with the Genesis that one generation. The 360 was Ms' chance to have success, but now it is over.
I find i interesting that people only want to count US when the Wii dominated anyway and the 360 had several price drops to stay in front of the PS3. This generation MS does not have any advantages so I expect things to be in line with the PS2 generation more so than last generation.
