Ooh, thanks for the tip! I should have mentioned that I was considering a DS because I have a pile of GBA games that I have yet to play because my GBA bit the dust about a year ago. :( Several of the GBA games on Wii U are ones that I own and never got a chance to play, so it just made things more complicated!

I'll probably get a used GBA eventually. I highly doubt Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Super Gunstar Heroes and Tales of Phantasia are hitting the eShop anytime soon.

Did you own an original GBA? If so, this is the chance to upgrade to an SP or a Micro. I remember upgrading when I was a kid to an SP and having my mind blown by my first portable experience with a backlit screen. We take it for granted now, but back then the SP was pretty kickass. AND HOLY SHIT TALES OF PHANTASIA. BUY A GBA, DO IT.

Dude! OK, you will not believe this: this morning, as I was getting ready for work, I decided to randomly pull out my beloved GBA SP and turn it on just to see what would happen. Lo and behold, it worked! I played a race on Mario Kart: Super Circuit and a random battle in Golden Sun 2! So now, I have all these GBA games to get caught up on now too! And I was so close to rebuying all those GBA games released to Wii U, so I thank my main man Jesus for doing me a solid on that one.

But yeah, I remember when I first got the SP about a decade ago. I was a senior in high school, and it was around that time I decided to screw reputation and crap like name brand clothes and shoes, and get me some kickass games. That backlight is killa. Oh GBA, how I love thee. Let's never fight again. ~_~
