I think we'll never get a mario 3D with adventure and exploration, it was like mario kart, a different kind of mario, since galaxy, they gave up more and more the exploration and adventure to focus on platform, galaxy was the mario 3D mix between the real mario 3D like before and what was coming next, until they finally make a whole different kind of mario with 3D land and World ( you'll say " great, since mario is a platformer", i'll say no, the original mario 3D 64 and Sunshine were more adventure and exploration with mechanic of platformer, it was an other kind of mario, like mario kart is not a platformer, it's a kart game)
It's sad they dont want to make mario 3D adventure anymore.
