Sony releasing a lot of exclusives in 2012 or 2013 is irrelevant when it comes to next gen development because just like MS, most of those exclusives were Sony paying an outside company to make the games for them. I think Sony internally developed maybe 6 or 7 games over those 2 years, which is fine, but not as big a deal as you make it out to be. Of course in that same time frame MS interally developed maybe 2 or 3. But they also at the time had a lot less studios than Sony, so that point is null imho. In fact given the studio difference, Sony should probably still be well ahead in development. Especially when you consider rumors that some of these companies are merely working on HD ports of PS3 games, like Last of Us, GoW, and GT6. Which 3 main exclusives are you referring to? Dead Rising 3, maybe Ryse? Idk what the last one would be. Those first two would not exist if it weren't for MS, so trying to downplay them as something Microsoft just went out and bought is unfair imho. |
Titanfall is the last. My point is not that they don't count as exclusives, it's that they take away little development resources from MS
