I think Link is a soul created by the keepers of time to fight evil.

He is reincarnated when he is needed, by the gods.

So, yes, he is the same person, and yes, he is a decendant of himself.

I like that theory the best.

What I said makes sense, and you won't find a timeline fanatic out there who can deny the probability that what I said is in fact not only possible, but probable.

No self respecting Zelda fan that actually cares for what the games tell him would argue against that, though I admit a surprising number of "experts" *don't* care about the truth in this matter.

As for this thread, I'm amazed at how utterly poor people's grasp of the Zelda continuity is. People say they want 'better' storylines, yet they obviously can't be arsed to play the games as it is if they can't even tell they take place hundreds of years apart, or think that TP is a prequel to TWW even after the split timeline has been confirmed.

By the way, denying the timeline is a pretty stupid right now since Nintendo is finally starting to actually bother linking games and expanding the collective universe. Bah...

On topic: Yes, Zenford is correct and it was confirmed in TWW and TP, and implied in pretty much every game since OoT. And the Links of LoZ-AoL, ALttP-LA, OoT-MM, OoA-OoS, TWW-PH, and (likely) FS-FSA are the same. This is a fact.
