That's actually myth, trolls are immortal but become inactive without food. Unfortunately, they can also eat each other and they absorb the power of other trolls they eat.

Even worse, with the Memyoku, really powerful trolls can be turned into Super Trolls, Trolls with the powers of Moderators, they can even use bankai.

All you need is one Moderator to fall to dark side.
