But they haven't done much with AR unfortunately. Still, it helped with regular games, as well, and it's definitely gorgeous. I remember first turning on OOT3D, and just staring in awe at the title screen for a few minutes, watching Link ride Epona over Hyrule Field in 3D for the first time. It definitely affects gameplay though. Going back to OOT3D, the horseback archery range in Gerudo Valley was a piece of cake, and took me just a few tries, while in the original OOT, it took me hundreds of tries, several trips of filling my wallet up to be able to continue trying, countless hours, and the only reason I ever did it was thanks to my OCD over completing games 100%. It's just so much easier to aim in 3D. |
Similar experience sI Star Fox 64 on N64 VS. the definitve version on the 3DS. But I just gave up on Star Fox 64 on N64. But on 3DS, I would make it my first time thru everything requiring perception to get thru the rest of the game.
