I'm not sure if now is the best time to compare the line-ups ...

E3 is exactly 1 month away and it is likely that many games are going to be announced at that event, and it will probably not be an even distribution across consoles. I personally expect the Wii to gain the most titles at E3 because of how traditionally tight lipped Nintendo is, and third party developers have claimed massive increases in support (15 new games in development from EA) and few games have been announced at this point in time. It is possible that the PS3 or XBox 360 could get the lion's share of new games at E3 so I think we will have to wait and see what happens.

True, I didn't think of that. The X360 will get tons of new announced titles at E3 simply because it's so easy to develop on (for example to develop in parallell with PC games), but Wii will have surprisingly many too.

There is a big difference between the xbox drought and the ps3 drought, and this difference is called headstart. with a headstart, it's not such an issue to have a drought because there is no console with which you can compare. This is also the advantage of a headstart, it allows you to make some mistakes, while you have to be perfect if you want to win a generation without a headstart.
