Why are people talking about the Fusion DS/Fusion Terminal as though it were real? It was a fake. The rumour was debunked. There were parts in it that had licensing problems, technology that didn't and wouldn't ever exist or doesn't technically make sense, and technology that wasn't feasible for a gaming console. An example of an unfeasible component was the holographic storage disk drive. Games don't need 6TB disks when Blu Ray disks are much more than enough, and will continue to do so. It also doesn't make sense for Nintendo to include a drive that is currently experimental and will be expensive for years to come. |
I think people are hoping that some of the aspects of Fusion turn out to be true. Fusion itself was impossible, there's no way Nintendo releases a handheld with a fingerprint sensor, 4G, magnometer, and GPS (I mean c'mon, really? GPS?).
I would be excited to 2 qHD screens and a swivel model though :P
