bolded: Sure, no differences at all in the situation. dude, we are talking about a game that was multiplatform from the start and one version was hindered for the sake of others releasing slightly before schedule (if all versions had gotten fair treatment).

Almost every PC-version of Assassin's Creed games was first announced to launch together with the other versions and then delayed on short notice.
