LOL Individualism is a big thing in America and social welfare isn't really, though social welfare exists it is loathed by a crowd. The Japanese praise the companies that represent their country well enough. They have a lot of national pride and for good reason. I think the baby boomer generation was the last generation in America to have been brought up with national pride when it comes to goods and services in the country even though its free market. Then again the quality of American made products was much higher back then.
