Microsoft may have been doing better lately, but it needs to expand its porfolio! All four of the "Big" Microsoft games are shooters, two of which are in the same series! Sony has a similar problem, but not as bad. Still, Microsoft is doing better as a first party than it has for years.

Nintendo continues its reign of having about a third of the point total thanks to its large number of big games of many genres. Mario Kart 8 was huge by the way. Seriously, off-hand, I think the previous record for a #1 game of the month was around 130, let alone for an exclusive! Besides that, X, Super Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Zelda U, and Yarn Yoshi are notable Wii U games, while Kirby and Smash Bros lend their weight to the 3DS.

YTou know, if you count Uncharted as a shooter, then Sony is basically as shooter-oriented as Microsoft. Still, considering how Uncharted lacks a proper subtitle as of this date, Sony should be proud of it. And The Last of Us Remastered ought to earn more points in its first full eligible month, so Sony is in a good place even if there are no announcements in May.

Despite everything, people are still anticipating Square Enix console JRPG's, particularly on PlayStation. I'm personally surprised that Curtain Call only got one vote, considering the quality of the original and the expansion of this sequel, but maybe that will pick up over time.
Love and tolerate.
