Are you asking if a company has ever set up E3 demos in the store during E3, so that people could play the same thing as the press and thus form their own opinions? The answer is yes, by the way. Nintendo, last year.

Serious question: unless you're one of the relative handful of people who gets seats to the the conferences, what improvement is there between seeing a stream of a news conference and seeing a stream of a presentation which has the same news but is optimized for online viewers? Do you prefer awkward rambling speeches to fill in time, wasted transition periods where people are coming on and off the stage, and technical snafus? Or are you just one of those folks who needs a laugh track or other audience reaction to know how to feel about a show?
