Double Dash and Melee's complete inability to push units, despite software sales that would be amazing even by today's standards, are the main reason I don't expect Smash U or MK8 to do much for the platform.
As strange as it is for me to say this, I expect it to follow Pachter's prediction; it will sell great because existing WiiU owners will snatch it up, not because it expands the customer base in a major way.
