Should Sony make original TV shows for PS4?

How does this conflict with my thread? I'm asking people if they think it's a good idea. Sony might be making original programming for PS4 but we don't know in what capacity. We haven't had details in almost a year, the whole thing could have been scrapped by now. 

1. they announced such things @ E3 last year...

2. They've been doing this for years already...
