Rather than releasing one long chapter per week, I'll release smaller chapters from one book each. Each chapter focus on one of the big 3 at the time, so every fanbase should have something to look forward to.

Lord of The Gaming: The Fifth Revenge

00: Prologue

Sony stood at the altar, trembling in a haze of nervousness and fury. To calm herself she rested her palm on her belly, the life stirring within her reminded her of the love she had shared with Nintendo. She knew he was a man of passion and despite the fact that she would be his third wife, the Nintendo that she fell in love with was a man of honor.

“Sony…perhaps another-“

“Today!” spat back Sony reactively, “Sorry…Nintendo is just a bit late, I trust him.” She clarified.

Her outburst elicited a response from the audience. Luckily, the chapel was small, the visitors limited to Sony and Nintendo’s close friends. Despite, their multitude of disagreements, the two agreed that they would have a small service and a large reception.

Since Sony had lost contact with her family early on, the majority of Sony’s friends came from her merchant guild. They also advised her to rethink her engagement, but she ignored their warnings and followed her heart.

To her despair, the looks on their faces were neither worry nor expectation, they were pity. How dare they pity her, she who proved them wrong countless times? Nintendo loved her right? He would never betray her like this.

A nagging sense of regret began to overwhelm her. The last she spoke with Nintendo, they had one of the worst fights of their relationship, her future child being the only link that held them together.

Just when the doubts became unbearable, the chapel doors swung open, the light pouring in, obscuring the figure who strode in.

A smile broke out upon Sony’s face, her watering eyes betraying the makeup she wore to lighten her face.

As the light dimmed, the vestiges of resemblance began to envelop her.

Wrapping around her throat.

The man that strode down the aisle was not her husband, it was Ken Kutaragi, the man responsible for her engagement with Nintendo in the first place.

Nearly, tripping over her gown, Sony rushed to Ken expectantly. She had been concerned that he was missing for the ceremony, but she knew Ken was a busy man. She knew that the arrival of Kutaragi would bring bad news, but bad news was better than no news. At least that, is what she told herself.

She would forgive Nintendo if misfortune had befallen him. Having sworn her love for him, she would stay by his side, nursing him back to health if she had to. As long as he didn’t get himself killed, Sony prayed that Nintendo was still alive.

“Nintendo has married Phillips.”

Sony stood frozen, her mind reeling, trying to fathom the meaning of the words that oozed from his lips.

Instinctively, Kutaragi and other members of Sony’s guild rushed to her aid, keeping her from collapsing and harming herself and the baby.

Suddenly, the myriad of emotions of overwhelming the rejected bride evaporated to be replaced with a single one. A stream of pure fury surged throughout her veins. Sony had become feral, her intense cry struck the men failing to hold her back at a primal level.

The effect of the betrayal warped her from an intelligent beauty into a mindless beast. Her mind, normally a tool of sharp wit and strong logic, became wiped, leaving it searing and barren instead.

As quickly as she was enraged, she simply fainted, her fragile frame unable to bear the brunt of her rage.

Kutaragi brushed an errant strand of black hair from Sony’s sleeping face, its serenity contradicting with the inner turmoil that Ken had just witnessed.

It was then that a smirk broke out on Kutaragi’s face.

“Thank you, Nintendo…”
