What makes the NSMB series not that good? I've played all of them except the Wii version, and I can't point out anything inherently bad about them. And cmon, a 5 year old coulda made Wii Sports, though I guess that's why it's easily accessible! High accessibility doesn't automatically mean good game though, see most mobile games. 

Nothing unique about NSMB, Wii has a 420p skin on a 20 year old series, which was still nice for Nostalgia purposes and decent co-op. NSMBU needs more.

I mean when you look at SMB 2/3/World, each game added something completely different. 2 had Birdo and new characters, 3 had the racoon suit and well thought out levels and World introduced Yoshi who now has it's own franchise. NSMBW/U didn't introduce new elements to the franchise, they are far too consivative to be revolutionary and good.

Wii Sports might be a fairly basic game, but so was Tetris. It's a very well thought out game, something which gamers and non-gamers alike found appealing and increadibly addictive. NintendoLand might be fun, but it's only fun because you appreciate Nintendo's franchises and like Nintendo brand mini games. The games themselves are hardly revolutionary or even unique.

Wind Waker is good because it's an HD remake of a quality game and the new lighting system really makes the graphics really stand out. It's nothing particularly special since it's just a remake, but definately a great reason to buy the console if you haven't beaten the game yet. I would say the same thing about an Ocarina of Time 3DS bundle, or going back a Pokemon HeartGold-DS bundle.
