I don't think big publishers will start using Kickstarter anytime soon. Kickstarter is going to continue to be used for smaller projects ( Say Doug TenNapel wants to make Earthworm Jim 4, but he doesn't have the money. He can always rely on Kickstarter since EWJ is loved by a lot of people)!
