Hardware-wise, there's a big gap between the Wii and PS2, so no would be my answer.
Like Zim said; RE 4 on Wii really stands out from RE 4 on PS2, which is heavy on the jaggies and looks quite dated. RE 4 Wii still pretty much holds its own against most console games, and other games in the genre seem to be very far behind (see Alone in the Dark to see what I mean...).
