I find it rather strange that "it being drawn" should be any sort of defense of what is being portrayed considering the fact that if most people questioned why 30+ year old people would watch anime/cartoons "it being drawn" is a non issue, it's just a media to get across what is no doubt a very real story. Can't have it both ways.
Regarding would you watch stuff that happens in your sigs on tv? I'd more ask could you sit down on the couch next to your mother and feel perfectly fine with something, when it comes to girls bouncing each other away with their boobs or doing the shuffle that Kirby007 has going on I think both of those would add an air of discomfort if watched with family members if I'm being honest.
As for the Harley Quinn while I think her cosplay of the character was perfect I think you were right to change it just to get the message across of a slightly less boob covered site Carl, lead by example and whatnot.
