As a Sony fan myslef, I dont see the issue here. Why does it matter that you exchange your old game at a MS Store or Gamestop? Its going back into circulation as used games anyways, its not like they destroy the games. They only dont resell it.
They probably sell it dirtcheap to a retail chain, so a poor Joe will have the opportunity to buy some "new" software
