Fewer and fewer people want them because people want a GAME console that is powerful and satisfies their needs as gamers. There's so many other options for media hubs that are substantially cheaper, that paying out $500 + paywall after paywall for one becomes completely redundant. It's been said since the announcement of the XBone: The brand was built up as a console for core gamers. M$ pretty much just alienated their fan base by almost completely ignoring the games section and focusing almost entirely on gimmicks. The only way for the XBone to grow is if it becomes a game console. Beyond that, it's doomed to continue spiraling in the shadow of PS4. Thing is, the majority of consumers already know which system is the better choice, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.
