I do think that Hyrule Warriors is an indication that Zelda U might show up later. It looks kinda... crappy, and Nintendo doesn't usually rent out the Zelda IP to other developers. My conclusion is that they needed something to fill the gap. As I said, I'd be the happiest person if Zelda U would release this year. It's my favourite game series. But Smash looks like their holiday heavyweight, accompanied by a Mario Kart console bundle, I think, and Yoshi / X / Metroid (?). |

hyrule warriors is an indicator of nothing, it's not zelda and nintendo isn't developing it. and there's no magical rule stopping nintendo from releasing more than one game during holidays.
